Employee Spotlight - Keith Beaver
We were lucky to snag a picture of Keith at the beginning of his shift, just as everyone else was leaving for the day. Night watchmen are the unseen force that keep our full-time factory furnaces stoked and loaded, make sure that nothing is amiss and no one is trespassing, clean up the detritus of the day before, and smooth the way for our early arrival each morning. Some of us may never get the pleasure of meeting our night watchmen – ships passing in the night! – and that’s a shame, because each one of them is a character and a workhorse. Keith keeps us in stitches and doesn’t flinch from hard work, whether it’s shifting barrels of cullet or ladling out furnaces to prep them for the next batch.
All Blenko Glass is made by hand – and many hands touch each piece before it leaves our factory and finds its way to you.
