BLENKO GLASS

Tours are closed until Spring 2023

Walk-in and individual tours are offered seasonally and new bookings are closed at this time. If your school, group, or event would like to discuss the possibility of scheduling a tour in the off-season, please reach out to us directly at tours@blenko.com. You can still watch the drama of handblown glass being made from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday on our Visitor Center Observation Deck (holiday hours may vary).

Why tour the Blenko Glass factory?

Take a look at the magic behind artisan, handcrafted glass.
Fun for all ages!
Step into our studio to see how Blenko glass water bottles, vases, and more are made. Our expert tour guides are versed in the history of Blenko and do a fantastic job of sharing our journey with everyone who stops by. See everything from our gift shop to the inner workings of our glass blowing floor. You can even catch a glimpse of our artists in action!
Group trips are welcome.
Groups, families, and individuals are all welcome to tour the Blenko grounds. Here are some folks we think will especially love the trip:

• School Field Trips • Family Outings
• Glass Enthusiasts • Tourists and Bus Groups
• History Buffs • Students of the Decorative Arts
• Museum Lovers • the generally curious!

Tour Rules, Guidelines & Information

Masks are required to participate in tours or watch production from the Observation Deck at our Visitor Center at the request of our artisans. Those who do not wish to follow this guideline will not be allowed to participate. We request that you bring your own mask, masks are available on campus for those who do not or cannot, while supplies last.

Masks are recommended, but not required, while indoors at our Visitor Center Gift Shop and Museum.

Tour participants must also follow all rules and directions of your tour guide. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from campus.

Tour participants must be at least 14 years old to be on the factory floor.

Closed-toe shoes and eye protection are required to be on the factory floor. Eye protection will be provided by Blenko for use.

All members of your group need to arrive together, anyone arriving after their group's tour departure will need to wait for the next tour to begin.

Unfortunately, when our factory was imagined over 100 years ago, they did not account for physical accessibility or leave room to make our entire campus wheelchair accessible and as such, our museum, tour, and observation areas are not wheelchair accessible.

Our Visitor Center Gift Shop provides ample parking with handicap designations, a ramp at the entrance, and room for mobility aides to be used while shopping, but our Museum and Observation Deck are accessed via a flight of stairs.

Thank you for continuing to be an amazing community and supporting handcrafted West Virginia goods!
