Employee Spotlight: Valerie “Val” Harrah – Assistant VC Manager
If laughter is the best medicine, then Val is our in-house pharmacist!
Val joined the Blenko Glass family in October 2022 as an associate in our Visitor Center, and today she kicks butt as our Assistant Manager for the VC, proving that hard work, dedication, and a genuine care for what she does make an unbeatable combination.
Over the past few years, Val has become an essential part of our team. She’s known not only for her quick wit and sense of humor, but also for her reliability, professionalism, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed. Whether she’s helping visitors find their new favorite piece of glass, mentoring new staff members, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, Val does it all with care and enthusiasm.
And talk about flexibility! When our VC Manager, Melissa, is away, Val steps up to pack glass, cover shifts, and lead the team, always with her trademark smile and positive attitude. Her ability to balance responsibility with a great sense of humor makes her someone everyone enjoys working with.
When she’s not at work, Val loves all things Marvel Comics. We can’t help but look to her creativity and passion for storytelling to bring an extra spark to the Blenko family.
