Absolutely! We travel throughout the region. Longer-distance bookings may include added travel or overnight fees.
We need about 50 sq ft of flat, open space (concrete or asphalt preferred), plus a nearby 115 V outlet. We’ll review all logistics in advance.
Yes. Our crew manages all safety zones and equipment, and we tailor programming by audience. It’s fiery, but friendly.
For safety reasons, most Mobile Unit visits are demo-only. But in some cases, hands-on elements can be arranged, just ask during planning.
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead, especially for spring and fall. The Mobile Unit calendar fills up quickly!
General Mobile Unit Information
The Blenko Glass Co Mobile Unit is an extension of the company and leveraged by the Blenko Glass Foundation.
At this time, we are primarily used for brand awareness and outreach purposes. While making profit is nice, we strive to prioritize educational, non-profit, and manufacturing industry timeslots and objectives.
Please note that generally speaking, our appearance is an ALL DAY event. Not only do we factor in travel time, but our mobile furnace takes at LEAST three hours to heat up and cool down. On an average day, our crew will easily be out for 12-14 hours. This must be taken into consideration whenever scheduling.If scheduling for an early start time or multi-day event, overnight stays will be mandatory.
Cost Considerations
We have multiple payment and cost plans dependent on your organizations structure, objectives, and financial position. Our Event Coordinator will present you with the available options upon reaching out regarding your application.For transparency, our non-profit day rate starts at $2,500 and our for-profit day rate starts at $5,000. This rate covers wages, travel expenses, per diem, furnace fuel and glass cost, and insurance.
Logistics
The mobile unit is a fully functioning propane based furnace. In order to provide adequate ventilation and safety, we need at least 50sqft of operational room as well as flat ground - preferably concrete or asphalt. In addition, we require 115v electrical access (normal household style outlet).
