Employee Spotlight: Kate Jarrett – Visitor’s Center Associate
Some people have a dream job, and Kate might have had a dream come true!
Kate joined the Blenko family in January of 2025 as a part-time Visitor’s Center Associate, but long before she was helping guests find the perfect piece to take home, she was (and most certainty still is!) one of them. As an avid Blenko collector herself, Kate already knew her way around the shelves, the stories, and the sparkle of the glass. For her, working here isn’t just a job, it’s a full-circle moment and a bit of a dream come true.
If you’ve visited the VC recently, chances are you’ve already met Kate. She’s about as friendly as they come, always ready with a warm welcome, a good story, and a little bit of that unmistakable Blenko enthusiasm. In fact, we’re pretty sure there isn’t a single person who’s met her that didn’t leave smiling. Kate just has that kind of charm.
Honestly, we think that charm might have something to do with her past life as a Beauty Queen. Poise, grace, and a winning smile are all part of the package. Thankfully for us, she traded the glitter and tiaras for glass and a name tag and now brings that same sparkle to the Visitor’s Center every day. Kate made sure her Bible stayed in place while she did her trading, though, staying deeply grounded in her faith and making sure to live her life guided by the Word. That spirit of kindness, warmth, and care for others is something that naturally carries into the way she treats everyone who walks through our doors. That, alongside that Beauty Queen charm that never really goes away makes her irreplaceable in the VC.
We’re lucky she decided to turn her love for the glass into part of the Blenko family. Next time you’re in the VC, be sure to say hello to Kate. Just be warned, you might leave with a new favorite piece, and a new favorite person, too.
