Employee Spotlight: Jenni Gonze
Say hello to Jenni Gonze, one of the brilliant creative minds behind the scenes here at Blenko Glass! Jenni joined us in April 2016, starting out in our Visitor Center, and has since grown into the vital role of our Customs Department—that’s right, she is the entire department—where her artistic talent shines every day.
Jenni’s connection to glass isn’t just professional—it’s personal. She comes from a lineage in glass, and those deep roots are reflected in everything she does. Her journey has even included working alongside renowned artist Kelsey Murphy, known for her intricate cameo glass, which helped Jenni sharpen her skills.
Today, Jenni uses that experience to create custom-etched pieces, hand-carved suncatcher stamps, and to manage custom orders with care and precision. Whether she’s etching a meaningful design or carving an original stamp, her attention to detail and creative touch help turn ideas into heirlooms.
Though quiet and reserved, Jenni is known around Blenko for being incredibly talented, deeply dedicated, and wildly funny - she has a well-known love for drawing butts on things, which inspired her design of our Belly Boy Folks featured in the New Blenko Now exhibit.
From heartfelt commemorative work to the little moments that keep the studio laughing, Jenni brings both craftsmanship and character to everything she touches. We’re proud to have Jenni on the Blenko team, and we’re grateful for the history, humor, and heart she brings to her work every single day.
