This tour was definitely worth every penny. Our guide was super informative and made us feel welcome. We added this tour on after the glass blowing experience and I'm so glad we did. We started with the history of Blenko and got to see several vintage pieces in the upstairs display cases. They took their time and provided water and rest breaks. Seeing the cats in person felt like a celebrity sighting after seeing them online so many times. We even got to see Henri. Employees were candid and happy to answer questions. We even got a few sneak peeks at what was about to be announced on the website. You don't have a full appreciation of what goes into making once piece until you take this journey. It really looks like an amazing place to work.
I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd always wanted to make something with glass my whole life, but never had the opportunity until now. This experience was worth every penny. Joseph and James are SUPER patient and outstanding teachers. We created fish, one in dreamcicle and one in citrine, and was more than pleasantly surprised when it showed up in the mail and actually looked REALLY good! Also bought one of James' necklaces in the gift shop and it's now one of my favorite pieces to wear. I'd do this experience over again in a heartbeat. Wonderful crew and employees.
