Blenko is excited to reveal our Special Edition Festival of Glass 2023 pieces! The theme of this year’s festival is “Be There or Be Square,” and harkens to groovy 1960s designs with square angles and rectangular geometries. The Festival of Glass also marks the return of our beloved Topaz color, a warm amber yellow. A Special Edition suncatcher in Topaz features the retro-futuristic Homage design, the Square Wave vase.

This year’s Homage piece digs deep into Blenko’s origins in English stained glass and crosses the pond to pay respect to the UK’s Whitefriars Glass and their vibrant midcentury palette and experimental and geometric forms and textures. Blenko’s Limited Edition “Square Wave”/(TV Vase) features an innovative mould with carved graphite inserts to our traditional hand-carved cherrywood to achieve the geometric recession in the vase. It will sit alongside your water bottle collection admirably, and is available in our super-saturated purple Spring Crocus and warm Topaz. The piece measures 10” high and costs $94.

The Special Edition Festival of Glass “Square Peg” Decanter is a showstopping wide-shouldered, angular Olive decanter with an organic and anarchic ripple of Turquoise across its midsection. The ten-inch decanter radiates bold color and is topped with a Crystal cube stopper, and will brighten up a bar cart or a mantel. This elegant piece measures 12.75” high with the stopper, and costs $159.

Additionally, Blenko has dug up and dusted off a trio of nostalgic, groovy 1960s forms — the 9.25” 6115M ($68) and 14” 6115L ‘Daisy’ vases ($78) available in Olive, Spring Crocus and Topaz, and the beguilingly organic 607 square vase ($78), available in Olive, Spring Crocus, and Topaz.

We are also pleased to offer our iconic 384 water bottle in Topaz - back by popular demand! ($78)
