Employee Spotlight: Raine Rogers – Hot Shop - Blower

Some people ease into a role, and then there’s Raine Rogers, who’s gently, patiently, and with real heart worked his way through just about all of them.
Raine joined the Blenko family in July of 2021, and over the years, he’s put in the time, patience, and steady determination it takes to truly learn the craft. From his early days in the hot shop carrying in and holding moulds, to now stepping into the role of blower, Raine is set to graduate his apprenticeship this summer, a milestone that reflects just how much work he’s put in behind the scenes.

If you know Raine, you know he’s a man of few words, but don’t let that fool you. He’s as fun as they come, with a quiet sense of humor that sneaks up on you at just the right moment. More importantly, he’s someone who never backs down from a challenge. In fact, he’s been the one pushing and asking us, “What else can I try?” which is exactly the kind of attitude that keeps the craft alive and thriving.

Outside of the shop, Raine takes on one of the most impressive roles of all: girl dad. And around here, we know that’s no small feat. It takes patience, strength, and just the right amount of chaos management, skills that clearly translate well both at home and in the hot shop. At his core, Raine is about as genuine as they come. Kind, steady, funny, and always willing to stand firm when it matters most, he’s the kind of person you can count on without hesitation.

Raine told GMA there’s something addicting about working with glass and we just couldn’t help making sure he knew the feelings were mutual. We’re proud to have Raine as part of the Blenko family, and even more excited to see what he takes on next!
