Employee Spotlight: Isaiah Collins - Hot Shop Apprentice
Some people ease into life, but Isaiah Collins? He showed up, grabbed it by the horns, and gave it a good shake just to see what would happen.
Isaiah joined the Blenkonian family in January of 2024, and while he may be one of the fresher faces around here, you wouldn’t know it by the pretty wild to-do list he’s already checked off, including serving in the Army, dropping a few impressive dance videos on the clock app, and somehow picking up glassworking faster than most of us thought humanly possible.
In his bones, Isaiah is lighthearted, funny, and just the right amount of silly to keep things interesting around the hot shop. He’s the kind of person who keeps the mood up and the laughs coming without even really trying. But once he steps into work mode, it’s a whole different gear. Isaiah is locked in and brings a kind of grit and natural ability that’s hard to teach and even harder to ignore since we don’t think the words “no” or “can’t” are in his vocabulary.
What really sets Isaiah apart is that balance. He knows how to have fun, but he also knows when it’s time to focus, listen, and learn. And when he rolls in, he shows up with determination and raw talent that make you excited to see what he’ll do next. If something doesn’t click the first time, you can bet he’s at home with toilet paper rolls and a pair of scissors, proving that world-class skills can start anywhere with anything.
We’re lucky to have Isaiah on the team, and something tells us a few of the vets might want to keep an eye on their lead.
