Blenko Building Blocks are a new old idea here at Blenko. Inspired by the popular Blenko Minis line from the late 1950s, Blenko Building Blocks are small vases available in a range of crisp, clean geometric shapes and all of our current solid line colors. The building blocks were already in place – the perennially popular ‘Bubble’ bud vase (6424) and Andrew and Emma’s ‘Block’ bud vase (4418) – but we have added a spherical form (the ‘Ball’ vase), cylindrical form (the ‘Barrel’), and conical form (the ‘Beaker’). Each piece has the same footprint – a 3.75” base and stands approximately 5.5" tall with a short neck, perfect for single buds or small posies – and is designed to be mixed and matched, both in form and color.

Creative Director, 2023-present

James Arnett

James Arnett joined Blenko in 2023 as Creative Director, overseeing design, media, and narrative. He designed the 2023 West Virginia Day piece, “Specimen,” and its companions “If It Ain’t Broke” and “Gaslighting” lamp, and the 2023 Festival of Glass Square Peg Decanter, table lanterns, and 2023 holiday designs. He also works with and manages Guest Artists and Designers, and liaises with the academic and art glass communities.

Sparkling Glass Water Bottle

I had to hesitate before wrapping the glass water bottle as a gift but my Xmas cheer prevailed. The glass is beautiful and my daughter loved the gift.

Favorite!

This color is my all time favorite! All are beautiful, but the cerulean is absolutely gorgeous! Would order anything in this color.

Beautiful color

Ruby red throughout. Heavy / thick uniform jar. Makes excellent display on our dining table. Using a battery power pillar candle for now.

1823.Table Lantern

This is a lovely, heavy, old fashioned table lantern. Larger than I had imagined (i confess i did not read specs). Great for picnic dinner outside! Beautiful blue color.
