Crafted in deep cobalt blue and topped with a smoke-shaped stopper, Full Steam Ahead was our 2025 WV Day Piece, designed in tribute to the legendary Cass Scenic Railroad #2 engine and the enduring role of trains in Appalachian life.

This piece reflected on that shared history—how trains still symbolize strength, heritage, and home. The same is true of mouth-blown glass: not the fastest or easiest way to create, but unquestionably the most soulful. Handmade glass is perfectly imperfect, shaped by fire, sweat, and the rare skill of artisans who carry a vanishing craft into the future.
