With more than three decades immersed in the flame, rhythm, and discipline of hot glass, Dan Schreiber has built a career defined by craftsmanship, community, and creative exploration.
Dan began his professional journey as a Hot Shop Assistant for Judy Konesni in Toledo, Ohio (1993–1994), where he honed the foundational skills and studio discipline that continue to inform his work today. His commitment to advancing the glass community quickly became evident through his long tenure at Glass Axis in Columbus, Ohio, where he served as both volunteer administrator and instructor across two decades (1994–2000, 2002–2013).
In 1996, Dan established his own Columbus-based glass studio, which he continues to operate, creating original work and supporting collaborative projects within the regional arts community.
A seasoned educator, Dan shared his expertise widely:
Franklin Park Conservatory (2004–2015) – Demonstrator and instructor, engaging new audiences with the art and science of hot glass.
The Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass (2009) – Workshop instructor, contributing to one of the most respected educational programs in the field.
Dan’s recent creative endeavors include exhibiting his sculptural interpretations of ancient vessel forms, most notably in the Fall 2018 “Space Cups” exhibition, where his work explored the intersection of historical craft and contemporary imagination.
Today, Dan continues to create, teach, and inspire—bringing the timeless beauty of molten glass into fresh, modern contexts.
Great in every way. I am a collector of 384M's. The baby is a great piece to add to collection. One in pink would be a great special offering to consider.
The blues are beautiful and I love the mini size and not forgetting little Pluto...a wonderful finish to the Helios series. (My other post didn't have the right rating! 😬)
Every piece of Blenko I own I love. But this miniature Helios: Pluto Baby Water Bottle is a work of art. The color is absolutely beautiful and the craftsmanship is fabulous.
