That was the first thing that struck me when I removed it from the box--how heavy it is and how thick the glass. Guess I was expecting something like you would get from china. Nope, heavy and solid as a rock. The green is a gorgeous color even to someone whose favorite color is blue. I'm most pleased with this piece.
