Designed by Averie Ellis, an eighth-grade student from Park Middle School in Beckley, WV, Take Me Home shines with the spirit of Appalachian creativity. As the winner of the 4th Annual Student Design Challenge—a partnership between Blenko Glass and WVU Industrial Extension—Averie’s sketch was brought to life by our artisans during her visit to the Blenko factory.
Inspired by the theme Glassalachia: A Celebration of Appalachian Alchemy, this special-edition suncatcher transforms sunlight into color and story, capturing both the wonder of the mountain state and the timeless craft of glassmaking.
