The Blenko Glass Factory is one of the last handmade colored glass tableware factories anywhere in the world. You’re undoubtedly familiar with our brightly-colored, modern and stylishly designed glass, but have you ever stopped by to see how it’s made?
The good news is that we’re not so far away – a good day trip, or a relaxing overnighter – and you’ll see our history, our legacy, and our ongoing evolution all in one day! Schedule a trip for a weekday, and see our glassblowers in action from our free Observation Deck, or book a tour to get behind the scenes!

Our historic factory in Milton, WV is a sight to behold – and our Visitor Center Museum and Gift Shop the only place where you’ll see so much of our glass in one place. Wander through our Museum or our Garden of Glass and marvel at our rich design history! Weave in and around our gift shop tables and find just the right one-of-a-kind piece to bring home.
The Road from Louisville Is Not So Long! Golly, you’re basically just down the road from us! We asked our Creative Director to put together a roadtrip itinerary with some cool stops between Louisville and Milton!

Poor Richard’s Bookshop
This used bookshop is one of the best in Appalachia, and not far off the beaten path en route! We love their massive selection, two packed stories, and their eclectic art, not to mention their in-house coffeeshop and their beautiful view of the Capitol!

Frankfort Peddler’s Mall
The Peddler’s Mall chain is a pretty good bet to kill some time hunting vintage Blenko - and we love the Frankfort one because it’s quiet, well-organized, clean and lovely! We’ve seen our fair share of interesting and quirky midcentury glass and decor here, so we recommend stopping by!

Subject Matter
Subject Matter is a relatively new antique vendor in Lex – and has one of the best selections in the area of quirky, arty, interesting, off-beat, and eye-catching vintage. We would go here every weekend if we could – they continuously update their stock and bring in new pieces, and they’re also incredibly helpful and friendly.

Gonzo Vintage
Matt’s got one of the best selections of midcentury and contemporary furniture, art, design, and lighting that we’ve seen anywhere – and he’s always bringing in radical new stock. This is the place to find a 1960s East German mod chandelier or the missing Brasilia chair to your dining set – or some really amazing locally-crafted wooden bowls!

Eklektic Alchemy
Just outside of Lexington on the way to Milton is beautiful Winchester. There are a couple of good antique shops in the downtown area but our personal favorite is Eklektic Alchemy – a terrific mix of midcentury and 20th century vintage and antique wares! We know they’re Blenko fans, too, because they’re always adding new stock.

Backyard Pizza and Seafood
Stop a spell in Huntington’s revitalized downtown on your way back and grab a bite to eat at the beautifully-decorated local favorite Backyard Pizza. We’ve never had anything we didn’t love there – and it’s one of our favorite places to bring out of town guests.

West Side Antiques District
Huntington’s 14th St W corridor is its epicenter of antiques – at least a half dozen stores selling a wide range and variety of vintage and antique wares. More than a few of these stores have impressive selections of vintage Blenko – so it’s worth a stroll! use they’re always adding new stock.
