New Blenko Now Exhibit Ware Announcement

MILTON, WV - The storied Milton, WV company, Blenko Glass Company, is pleased to announce an exhibit of its contemporary designs (since 2020) at the Birke Art Gallery of Marshall University in downtown Huntington, WV, across from historic Pullman Square, from June 21-August 6, 2024. The Exhibit will feature the innovative and eye-catching designs the Company has incubated and cultivated since 2020, and the departure of the Company’s last formal Designers. The Exhibit tells a new story about Blenko’s design and inspiration – and features favorite recent pieces like the Flatwoods Monster Decanter and Mothman Bookends, the Company’s coveted West Virginia Day pieces, and a preview of 2024’s space-inspired Helios Water Bottle series. All in all, the Exhibit marks and celebrates the explosive growth and renewed interest in this one-hundred-year-old company and its glasswares.

The Company invites its fans and customers especially to the Exhibit’s Opening Night reception - free and open to the public – from 5-8pm on Friday, June 21st. Hosted at the same time as Huntington’s brand new ArtWalk, and just down the street from the city’s Friday Night Live concert series, this opening reception will be a great chance to meet the creatives and artisans who make Blenko Glass Company’s designs world-renowned and coveted. The Blenko Company Crew will be out and on hand to enjoy the evening and answer burning questions!

The Opening Night reception will be the only place to score a very special, limited edition and numbered all-Absinthe version of our Visitors Decanter – and which will be available, first-come, first-served at the Company’s pop-up shop on June 21st at the Gallery from 5-8pm. The Company will also be designing and releasing two special, limited edition pieces for the show - the numbered, limited edition ‘Voyager Golden Record,’ available by scanning a QR code available only at the Exhibit itself, and the ‘PewPewPew Decanter,’ a large, stoppered decanter available on the Company’s website [http://www.blenko.com] only for the duration of the Exhibit (June 21-August 6).

The New Blenko Now Exhibit will run at the Birke Art Gallery at Marshall University, 927 Third Avenue, Huntington, WV. The Gallery’s opening hours are 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday. The Opening Night Reception and Pop-Up Shop will be from 5-8pm on Friday, June 21, 2024.
