Creative Director, 2023-present

James Arnett

James Arnett joined Blenko in 2023 as Creative Director, overseeing design, media, and narrative. He designed the 2023 West Virginia Day piece, “Specimen,” and its companions “If It Ain’t Broke” and “Gaslighting” lamp, and the 2023 Festival of Glass Square Peg Decanter, table lanterns, and 2023 holiday designs. He also works with and manages Guest Artists and Designers, and liaises with the academic and art glass communities.

Tumbler ?

When I first saw the new tumbler and color I wanted to get one thinking it would make a great wine glass that could sit at a unique angle. Well the tumbler is nice, normal great Blenko quality and design. My only issue is it is too big for my hand. It just does not fit my hand and offer a good grip for it to be usable for me. So it will be used as a bowl with battery powered lights in it. But it will be used as it is still cool to look at.

This was my first Blenko purchase! It is absolutely gorgeous even prettier in person! Don’t know why I waited so long to get one!

I wanted the lg. pumpkin to match my other 3 from last year. I was so disappointed that I got a butternut one. I just thought thy were all the same and did not pay attention to the color name.

Satisfaction

Am VERY satisfied with not only my new Blenko piece but the ‘quick’ delivery time (came a LOT sooner than expected). This was a gift so the girlfriend (a Blenko collector) was pleasantly surprised.
