New year - new color! Inspired by our 1950s Lime, our new green, Malachite, replaces the retired (for now!) Olive, and brings us back to rich gem tone greens. Malachite plays with darkness and light and shows its different shades in sun and indoor light. Malachite, the mineral after which it’s named, likewise gives a whole range of green tones in the same stone. A kissing cousin to our Clover, but darker, this lush green brings to mind forest canopies and wild spaces.
Highly in demand for over 8 decades, our iconic water bottle has been featured in many magazines, TV appearances, and throughout various online publications.
The classic 384 design was first introduced in 1938 and has been produced at our factory, by hand, almost non-stop since that very first year. At the time, the bottle's design was largely dictated by necessity...
With function before form in mind, it was made to fit into the narrow door shelves of the relatively new “electric icebox”. Today, that electric icebox is known as a refrigerator!
The water bottle’s narrow shape with two pouring spouts and center indentation made for easy handling and fit well in those early refrigerator doors.

WHY BLENKO?
Unlike other glass vessels that claim to be "100% handmade" while being mass produced in a factory in China, our glass is TRULY handmade by Appalachian natives from West Virginia on the banks of the Mud River. From start to finish - 100% authentic.

I think this one is my favorite so far! The pictures do not do this water bottle justice.
The malachite water bottle is absolutely gorgeous and I’m so glad I got them at the same. Last name of the office
I just looked up my enthusiastic review, and it only has one star. That is a mistake. It deserves five.
I love the malachite color for me, but what is great about this pitcher is you can find a color to suit anyone. Match your friend’s kitchen, tablecloth, eyes, whatever. Everyone loves the pitcher, whether it’s used to contain drinks or flowers. You can’t go wrong—and it’s handmade in the USA.
Such a deep beautiful green! Love this water bottle soooo much!
