I wish I could go back and edit my October review, but this will have to do. Blenko finally got back to me, understood the situation, sent me a RMA for free return shipping, and 'personally inspected' the replacement they sent out to make sure it looked more or less like the photo on the website. It did take a while, but things did work out, and beautifully. It's a very cool little piece--thank you, Blenko! The only thing I can suggest is that maybe the quality control be checked before you send things out? So that the long-distance purchasing experience can just cut to the happy customer ending :)
It was supposed to be a birthday present for me because I love the colors in the *sample photo*. There's some green on one corner down low but that's it -- the rest is kind of a reddish-brown mud, top to bottom :( You'd never even suspect the one I got to be the same colorway as the sample. It's far beyond normal expected variation-even my husband saw that right off when I showed him the photo and showed him the piece. Not at all happy, and I even paid for the sandblasted signature...I love the shape and texture but the color....big NO. So disappointing.
Would have given two stars for the shape and texture, at least, but have to subtract one because I've written Blenko twice about it and received no acknowledgement of my emails at all; I *have* received two Blenko ads in the same time period, though. That's not right. I want one that looks *somewhat* like the photos, at least.
I got the strata block bud vase for a gift. I know they will love it.
This design and the Frog Dart water bottle are my favorites thus far. Beautiful color striations.
My only regret is that I did not purchase the large size. I look forward to new editions like this in the future.
This vase is beautifully designed and the color is lovely. I was looking for a small vase as I had room for one on a table in my living room and this was the perfect piece. I also wanted an example of the new Spring Crocus color so I killed two birds with one stone.
