2nd Annual Glassapalooza Extravaganza

The 2nd Annual Glassapalooza extravaganza will be on the lawn at the legendary Blenko Glass Company on Saturday, May 19th from 11am to 6pm! It’s a free admission family friendly environment with food vendors. Blenko will be offering glassblowing classes during the festival. (Advanced Registration Required, Class schedule can be seen below the flyer) Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a wonderful day of music from bands from our wild state. Country to bluegrass, to rock to jazz! We got your ears covered!

Crackled and pinched – this is an object we have never allowed classes to make before. This is our classic 418L dimpled AND crackled tumbler. It is 6 inches tall and holds 16 oz. Produced by Blenko since 1948 by the tens of thousands. But this one will be made By You! Choose from several colors available in our tanks that days. Color availability may vary.

Depression-era glass show focuses on Blenko

This year’s spotlight exhibit at the 41st annual Three Rivers Depression Era Glass Society Show and Sale on March 3 and 4 at the Quality Inn, New Kensington is “All About Blenko,”. This exhibit features Dean Six, vice president of the company based in Milton, W.Va., since 1921. This will be “a great opportunity for mid-century modern collectors to learn about and buy some great glass.”

Blenko produces a wide variety of items, including water pitchers, tumblers, vases, decanters and bowls.

CGTV America spent one and a half days here at #Blenko to produce this nine minute investigation into how Blenko “keeps the fragile tradition of hand-blown glass alive.”
